There wasn't much to see during the initial half of the hike. There is a creek at the lowest point and then you start to climb. Once on the Appalachian Trail, views begin to present themselves. I felt like I could see forever. Near the very end of the hike were the highland meadows. They were mowed and presented amazing views on both sides. If you wanted the views without the long hike, you could definitely do the hike backwards as an out and back. This is another one that is worth repeating.

Hike #2 - Cold Mountain
