Coworkers and babies

In 2017 2 of my coworkers had beautiful babies.  One was a little girl and one a little boy.  I made a blanket for each.

For the little girl:  http://www.yarnspirations.com/patterns/cable-and-lace-blanket.html?id=194961

For the little boy: I used this pattern and alternated blue and orange since his parents are UVA fans.
(I can't believe I didn't take a picture of this one!)

Small afghan

I started this project so long ago I don't remember where I got the pattern from.  Over Christmas I finished the squares, sewed them together, and did my first I-cord boarder.  I did the boarder on the wrong side, but it still turned out ok.  I hope to give this as a baby gift for one of my oldest friends.

Secret Santa Scarf

Every year I make a scarf for my work secret Santa recipient. This was this year's creation.  I rather like how it turned out!

Scarf

A friend of mine had told me how she envied my secret santa for always getting a homemade scarf from me for Christmas. Since she had blessed me with a waffle maker for my birthday, I decided to return the favor with a homemade scarf of her very own!

I had stalked her pinterest to see if she had pinned any scarf patterns and I found one for this scarf. You actually knit from each end and then join the two sides together. I'd never done that before and it turned out beautifully! It just needed to be a tad longer, I think.
